There can be diversified types of mental diseases disturbing the normal lives of the older adults. Therefore, there must be precautions taken from beforehand to overcome the probable challenges of old age. Any Mental Illness (AMI) has been the collective name given to the diversified types of mental diseases which can occur and recur in the lives of older adults as well as any human being of any age. The importance of identifying sign of mental health problems early can be useful for provision of proper medical treatment to the older adults. Counselling by family members can be something considered to be of great utility and advantage for older adults in their old ages. However, the issue is that there might not be too much of interest shown by most family members in most families to counsel and spend time with older adults. Therefore, there will be high chances of older adults being either ignored to sent to old-age homes by the family members of most families.
